Okay, I know I’m Sara’s mother but I would like to give kudos to the Q Company BBQ – the food is ultra delish and the beans are the best in the world – I don’t usually like beans at all, so this is a big compliment. Everyone I know who has had them, love them. The sauces are great, too. All the meats are great, but the baby back ribs are my favorite.

The Q Company catered the Patriot’s Path Foundation golf tournament for 2010. The food was OUTSTANDING and besides that EXCELLENT. As Executive Director and Tournament Director, I wanted nothing but the best and Sara and Mitch exceeded my expectations. The food, pulled pork and beans, was delivered on time, hot and delicious. The golfers and staff loved it and wanted more. The Patriot’s Path highly recommends the Q Company for any of your catering needs.

The Q Company’s BBQ pork, beans, potato salad, and coleslaw were the hit of our October 16 Campaign Funfest. Over seventy people devoured your amazing spread of food. Since the event, Funfest attendees have been calling and emailing us asking “where did you find these people? It was the best BBQ I have every eaten!” People are raving about everything. They could not believe how great the beans were and your three BBQ sauces blew their minds and their palates! The Q Company is on our “speed dial” for our next event!

Dear Sara and Mitchell,

With all that I have been hearing about you guys and your BBQ – I had my reservations that you wouldn’t be able to live up to the hype. Boy was I wrong!!! Your catering for the Country Day School 2nd Annual Golf Tournament was “spot on”. It was organized, well priced, but most importantly – on the day of the event – you were on time, the food was well presented and DELICIOUS!!!!! Golfers remarked that this was the best food that they had had at a golf tournament in a long time!!! I can’t thank you enough for helping to make our event so successful – and with so little worry or anxiety! I will use you again and again. Thanks again to you both.

The Q Company catered my wedding and it was perfect! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it also! We had the brisket and the pulled pork, bakedbeans and cole slaw all had it’s own unique wonderful flavors. It was kept hot thru out my reception (which lasted a couple of hours) of course the slaw was kept cold. Sara was professinal and efficent in setting up the buffet and even going beyond what I had asked of her–helping me out w/ things she saw I needed. The Q Company MADE my wedding the special day I will remember forever–THANKS!!

Morning Lance! Just thought we’d drop you a quick line – Mitchell and I finally got our BBQ set up locally and in a place where you can come try what we put together. Check us out sometime soon – we’re out back of the Dirty Dawg Saloon in Martinsburg. 1017 South Queen St.

Hope to see you soon!

Mike and I Mitch for the first time last week, had a great time yacking about BBQ with him. Got to see behind the scenes, and now I’ve got pit envy!

Tried everything except the ribs, ’cause it wasn’t Wednesday (darn), the brisket was fantastic!

Our next dinner date is to go and try the ribs!!

Alicia - June 7, 2011 - 12:23 pm

The ribs and brisket are to die for and Mitch’s homemade BBQ sauce is the perfect touch!! Oh and the mac and cheese….my fave!!!! Can’t get much better than the outdoor patio on a summer night. Don’t think twice about coming and trying it out. It’s worth it and then some!!

I just saw you guys on TV winning 10,000 dollers. And I have to say you guys earned it, someday I am going to travel all the way their from MA just to try it.

Gina - July 3, 2011 - 8:41 pm

I saw your episode on the Food Network – congrats! The beans look fantasic – I’d love to try to recreate them. I live in Oregon so probaby won’t be coming your way any time soon. Any chance the recipe is posted somewhere?

mitchellm - July 15, 2011 - 2:50 am

Hi Gina, Thanks for the note – I’m so happy to hear that you loved how our beans looked. Unfortunately it is a secret recipe that we worked on for many years, we don’t share it with anyone! Sorry. We hope to see you by our place one of these days!

Glen - July 21, 2011 - 4:45 am

Came in today about 6pm only to find that, because of the newspaper article, you were out of food!!! Well, the ribs at least – I did get to try the Mac and Cheese, the baked beans, and one rib. That was enough to have me hooked. Expect me back on a regular basis!!!

Russ - July 30, 2011 - 8:10 pm

I just want to say that I am so relieved to have found a REAL SERIOUS BBQ joint in this area. I have fallen in love with bbq ribs and really any kind of bbq in the last few years and I have tried many different restaurants..all the chains and a few little guys. Let me tell YOU! This place is the best I’ve ever had. I will be coming back and I have a big mouth when it comes to good bbq so you can bet I will be telling everyone I come across. I want to say that the bbq sundae is very delicious and it is a big meal…my friend and I had way more than we could eat for $20 which is a steal considering the quality of this food. If you haven’t tried this place yet and you have a taste for bbq…let me save you some time and tell you that I only WISH this place existed before I wasted countless dollars on half assed bbq at other places who simply do not specialize or even have a clue how to do it. As soon as i saw the smoker I knew that this place was serious. I have to say that my first taste of texas style bbq leaves me hungry for more, but I was surprised to find that it is a little spicy. I am accustomed to sweet southern style bbq but I am a devoted fan to the the texas style now. I will be back as often as I can to savor the delicacies being prepared at this place. There was not one thing I tried that was not good here. The beans, cole slaw, bbq pulled pork, the sweet bbq sauce, potato salad, and the mac n cheese were all VERY VERY GOOD! Please, if you haven’t tried this place…give them a shot. I’m always skeptical of bbq joints because no one knows what they’re doing generally…but I feel so lucky to have found a place who takes it SERIOUSLY!!!

I WILL BE BACK!

mitchellm - July 31, 2011 - 3:31 pm

Thanks for the nice comment! We do run out, we try to make it as close to closing time as possible, but some days we see amazing turnout and that’s just how it goes! We look forward to seeing lots!

To put it simply, JUST AWESOME. This was our 1st visit. Everyone who showed up at our picnic said that was just the absolute best BBQ that they had evr tasted. Thank You Sara for your help!!

Kara - August 12, 2011 - 1:56 am

AWESOME is the best word to describe the food! By far the best quality meat and BEST FLAVOR BBQ I’ve ever tasted! The meat even tastes amazing before sauce and their sauces are great too-something for everyone! Creative baked beans too! Nice to meet you tonight Sara and thanks for the amazing food! We’ll be back!:)

CherylJ - October 19, 2011 - 8:33 pm

I have now stopped into the joint a few times AND had them cater my husbands birthday party.

Beans are spicy, sweet, and just lovely
Mac & Cheese is cheesy w/ just a touch of “crusty” which I love
Slaw is sweet, peppery, and on the dry side, which is just the way I like it. Too wet and it’s soup.

But the real food is the meat. What I like most is that they don’t bury a poor meat under a sauce. They serve up choice meat smoked and lucious. You can add your own sauce, they offer a couple kinds, but you don’t have to. And oh, it’s so good without!! Between the 4 members of my family, we have tried everything they offer and have not been disapointed by anything.

Thank You for making a believer out of me. BBQ is NOT the sauce – it’s the smoke! :-)

I MISS YOUR BBQ RIBS AND BEEF BRISKET AND THOSE FANTASTIC SAUSAGES EVER SINCE YOU LEFT MARTINSBURG. I WAS SURFING THE NET AND HUNGRY S O I THOUGHT ABOUT YOU GUYS.I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO RESTON BUT YOU MENTION LEESBURG, WHICH , IF YOU THERE , I WILL DRIVE 1 1/2 HOURS JUST TO GET SOME GREAT BAR B Q AGAIN AFTER NOT HAVING ANY FOR 7 MONTHS.
WHERE IN LEESBURG ARE YOU.
GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE COOKING AGAIN.

1993 LOWRIDER - August 28, 2012 - 5:04 pm

when are you guys going to open on 17 catoctin circle.i am having withdrawl sypthoms from not having your beef brisket, pulled pork and your “righteous” sausages.

James - October 6, 2012 - 11:58 pm

no doubt about it…this is serious BBQ! Best I’ve had outside of Texas! And the only good brisket I’ve had outside of San Antonio. A little bit of BBQ heaven in Leesburg.

The Weiss Family - October 11, 2012 - 11:12 pm

I normally do not post my opinion about food but once I tried your barbeque I knew I had to spread the good word around. I sampled a little bit of everything except your fries, coleslaw and tea but everything I had: ribs, brisket, pulled pork, potato salad and baked beans were heads and tails above other BBQ restaurants around! I am SUPER excited to have an Authentic taste of Texas BBQ! Only issue is the limited parking. I hope as you grow in your success you can relocate to a place with a larger parking area.

Todd - October 25, 2012 - 3:12 pm

Was waiting all summer for this place to open up and now kicking myself for missing its opening for 6 weeks. Got brisket, pork, sausage, and beans for takeout last night. You could taste the time, quality and care that goes into good BBQ. Brisket was moist, tender with great smoke flavor. Not sure it even needs sauce. Pork had great bark mixed in and sausage, well dipped in the SC mustard sauce was a great combination. The beans, well lets say they made a great cold breakfast this morning.

1 visit and already a big fan. Met Sara this trip, look forward to meeting the pitmaster on a future visit.

Willy Gordon - November 29, 2012 - 11:39 pm

Great BBQ, both the pulled pork and brisket. Slow cooked with dry rub, smokey and not over sauced. The sweet potatoe fries are light and crispy and the slaw has a great, sweet and tangy taste. This will now be our “go to” spot whenever passing through Leesburg.

Jenny - January 13, 2013 - 1:09 am

Robyn Flanigin - January 21, 2013 - 3:06 pm
